VDF association extends monetary support to family of deceased colleague

Imphal West District VDF Welfare Association slammed the state government for not looking after the welfare of the family of the deceased. “It is as if the government is waiting for the family members to commit suicide,” it added.

Imphal West District VDF Welfare Association on Sunday extended a monetary support of Rs 1.5 lakh to the family of late Khumucham Inaocha Singh (VDF No. V112192), S/o Khumucham Tomba Singh of Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai, who passed away on December 20 due to an illness. He used to be in the Reserve Line (RL) attached to Lamphel Court.

Inaocha, who is a bachelor, was the sole bread earner of the family. He is survived by his father who is bed ridden, suffering from a paralysis, and an elderly mother. The association also extended condolences and took part in the sorrow of the bereaved family, a release said.

The association also slammed the state government for not looking after the welfare of the family of the deceased personnel. “It is as if the government is waiting for the family members to commit suicide,” it added.

The VDF association also lauded the efforts of Imphal West SP Kh Meghachandra and district administration for their support. It also appealed to the VDF personnel to perform their duties with discipline and dedication.
