KYKL observes its 30th anniversary

The KYKL chairman stated that “politics” is the physical manifestation of economy and added that a society’s morality, religion, laws, arts, literature, philosophy etc., are based on economic relations.

“At this critical historical juncture, if we dance to the drum beats of colonial India, Kangleipak will no longer belong to either Meitei, Kuki or Naga. As we allow ourselves to be swallowed by the colonial strategies, we will only end up as selves with a mere shadow of our historical roots and progress”, observed the chairman of the proscribed KYKL on the occasion of its 30th anniversary.

On April 25, the KYKL observed its 30th anniversary at various locations inside Kangleipak and beyond. The anniversary related functions were held at General Headquarters, Central Headquarters, 1st Battalion, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Battalion, and every unit sections. The main function was held at General Headquarters (GHQs) attended by high ranking party leaders who also gave ‘national salute’ to the group’s flag. They also offered floral tribute to those who had made “supreme sacrifice”.

On the occasion, the anniversary function also discussed the message delivered by the chairman of the proscribed outfit. The chairman said that economy is the foundation of any society as envisaged by Marx and using the same perspective, there has been consistent efforts to dissect the Kanglei society.

The chairman stated that “politics” is the physical manifestation of economy and added that a society’s morality, religion, laws, arts, literature, philosophy etc., (sub-structure) are based on economic relations.

The chairman said that a society’s culture, morality, religion, laws, arts, literature and philosophy are like parts of a large house built on the society’s economic relations, the press release stated.
