The Thadou Inpi Sadar Hills Kangpokpi District clarified in connection with its press statement under the headline, ‘No encroachers at Mt. Koubru’.
Thadou Inpi Sadar Hills Kangpokpi District general secretary Seikhojang Sitlhou on Tuesday clarified that mentioning the state government in the earlier press release do not mean to accuse the Government of Manipur for inciting some “communal minded” organisations like the Kangleipak Kanba Lup, Federation of Haomee and the Liangmei Naga Council or forming an alliance with them.
He further clarified “we only meant to express our displeasure to the government for not taking action against the communal forces, who always target the Kukis and branding them as foreigners, refugees or tenants”.
While seeking apology for the error, he said that the error on its part is deeply regretted and appealed to the state government to resolve the Mount Koubru issue amicably accommodating the sentiment of the local inhabitants.
