Psychiatry RIMS’ cleanest ward

RIMS director Prof A Santa Singh on Friday distributed certificates and cash rewards to the prize winners.

The Psychiatry ward was adjudged the cleanest ward of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, followed by PMR ward and Post Natal ward, of the RIMS Hospital Cleanliness Contest. 

RIMS director Prof A Santa Singh on Friday distributed certificates and cash rewards to the prize winners of the contest. The contest was held on October 2, 2021 to select the cleanest ward/section/washrooms of the RIMS hospital in connection with the National Cleanliness Day. 

Casualty Ward, Gynae Ward, Antenatal Ward, Septic Ward, ICU ward, Sick Care Ward and Paediatric Ward were given consolation prizes. Medicine Ward I/II and Female Ortho Ward were given the first and second prizes respectively in the Cleanest Washroom category and Surgery Ward and Post Natal Ward were given the third prizes jointly in the same category, according to sources. 

Prof Santa congratulated all the prize winners for working tirelessly and keeping the hospital neat and clean. The director also encouraged those who missed out team/wards to feel proud of keeping their wards neat and clean.

RIMS Hospital medical superintendent Prof N Sanjib Singh elaborated about the purpose of organising such a programme in his keynote address.

The program was attended by HODs, faculty members, chief nursing officers and nursing officials, staff and team CRED.
