According to NSCN-K (Khango) Kilo Kilonser T Athrong, since the joint council meet held on January 5 have adopted the resolution and declared the “impeachment” unconstitutional, it should remain “null and void”.
Hoping a positive response from the president, Athrong stated that the appeal was made and endorsed by UT-I, Sumi Region, United Sangtam Region, Yimkhiung Region, Ao Region, Chang Region, Chakhesang Region , Zeliangrong Region, and Pochury Region.

It may be mentioned that after four days of his dismissal on January 4 from the NSCN-K (Khango), as general secretary, Isak Sumi on January 8 (Sunday) had clarified on certain issues confronting the group.
Addressing media persons to clarify on the issue at his private residence, Isak Sumi had stated that the termination order was issued without consulting any of the other “national workers”.
Alleging that Khango issued the termination order “unconstitutionally and arbitrarily”, Isak said it was a “character assassination” attempt for which he added that if he was in Khango’s position, he would not allow anyone to do that.
He said that despite, convener of the NNPGs appealing to Khango to revoke his order, there was no positive response from him.

“Why should he resort to such unconstitutional and unilateral act which clearly designed to sabotage the peace process and the Nagas for early solution”, questioned Isak.
