Nagaland: CP Dimapur felicitates 2 children of its unit personnel for topping HSLC 2024

Two children of unit personnel attached to the Commissioner of Police (CP), Dimapur, were felicitated with certificates and cash awards on Wednesday for making it in the Top 20 merit lists of the recently declared HSLC examinations 2024 at a simple programme held at the CP’s office chamber.

The felicitation programme was attended by family members of Suyaben Longkumer, daughter of C/N Nungshipokba, and a student of Holy Cross School, Dimapur, who was placed in the 10th position, and Rajnish Kumar Singh, son of C/N (Driver) Chandan Kumar Singh, and a student of MGM School, Dimapur, who secured the 18th position also in the top 20 of the HSLC 2024 examination conducted under Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE).

In his address before the uniformed officers and others present, commissioner of police, Dimapur, Kevithuto Sophie, lauded the two successful candidates for their achievements and also bringing honours to both their parents and also to the unformed community as a whole.

He encouraged both the distinct students to be more humble and be disciplined as they embark on a new academic journey in their lives by citing “never to let success go into their heads” but to be humble, disciplined, respect their parents, and above all to be thankful to God for their achievements.

Sophie also underlined the importance of taking up the right choice of career for which he said that his uniformed force (police) would be there for any guidance if needed and also maintained that with their success in the HSLC, one of the major hurdles has been traversed.

He further encouraged them to strive for excellence wherever they go and set a good example for the society.

In the felicitation programme, both Suyaben Longkumer, and Rajnish Singh, in their short speeches thanked the Commissioner of Police (CP) and his office for acknowledging them.

The programme was chaired by ADCP (W&J), Dimapur, Dr Tiamenla Phom.
