Yaikhom Janendro is an innocent person who has no connection to the activities of the organization, says KYKL
The proscribed KYKL has denied any links with Yaikhom Janendra @ Janensing (38), the son of the late Yaikhom Sidam, who the police claims is “an active cadre” of the group.
In a press note issued by M Loya Khuman, deputy secretary, publicity and research of KYKL, the news have been reported by “numerous print and electronic media outlets in Manipur on June 30, 2022” stating that an active KYKL cader named Yaikhom Janendra was apprehended by a team of Imphal West Commando during a search operation in his village.
“This is untrue and without any basis in fact. Yaikhom Janendro is an innocent person who has no connection to the activities of the organization. Using his arrest as an example, one can see how Indian colonial masters and their allies use it as a tool to perpetuate colonialism in Kangleipak and to violate the democratic rights that Kanglei people hold dear. So, my message to all Kangleichas is to keep an eye out and defend themselves from these colonial designs”, said M Loya Khuman of KYKL.
