KCP’s deputy finance secretary no more, outfit mourns demise

The proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the demise of its Deputy Finance Secretary Comrade Ngasepam Achouba Meitei.

Comrade Achouba, alias Ng Khuman Meitei, son of (Late) Ng Tombi and (Late) Ng.  (O) Memcha of Thangmeiband  Yumnam  Leikai passed away at around 9 am on November 21 due to some illness. He was 53, said a statement issued by S Mangal Secretary‐In‐Charge of KCP’s Information & Publicity.

Comrade Khuman Meitei joined the outfit when he was 14 years old and remained dedicated to the outfit until his last breath, said the statement.

After the 2006 Party National Congress, he served as camp CO for a long time. Later in 2014, he became a member of the interim central committee and served as secretary-in-charge of outfit’s Lou-u-sing-u Loisang (outfit’s farmers’ unit).

In 2015, he took charge as deputy finance secretary and held various key positions in the party.  

The outfit stated that his death was an irreparable loss and the void left due to his demise will never be filled.

As a mark of honour to the late comrade, the outfit flew the party flag at half mast and accorded red salute to him at all its camps, including CHQ, GHQ, Units of the party, Camps of MFL, and at other mobile units. His last rites were performed with revolutionary honour, it added.
