Eta: Northeast women’s Network has started distribution of immune booster medicines to 500 select beneficiaries belonging to economically weaker sections to help fight the second wave of covid-19 pandemic. The medicines comprising ginseng, multivitamin, multiminerals & antioxidant capsules, encee plus tablets were procured through contribution by Eta members.
In the first leg, Eta distributed the medicines at two places covering the areas of BDS Kakching Koijam, Khul Maring tribe and Wangjing through its member Rita Khomdram and Konieca Khuraijam.
Further, the group will hand over the medicines to beneficiaries in Liwa, Irengbam, Keinou, Moirang, Kumbi, Yaibilen Children Home Keibi, Old Age Home Keibi, Sekta, Kangchup (Lamshang side)m Keithelmanbi, Mayang Imphal, Sekmaijin area
In a press statement, Eta said staying healthy with strong immunity will defend against Covid 19 infections. Infections such as COVID-19 depend on the immunity level of the body, it said.
