The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee condoled the sudden demise of veteran Congress leader and former minister and MP (Rajya Sabha) Wahengbam Angou Singh. A condolences meeting was held at Raishang Keishing Media Center, Congress Bhawan on Monday.

Congress leaders paid floral tribute and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace. MPCC office bearers and chiefs of frontal departments observed two-minute silence in honour of the departed soul and resolved to fly the Congress party flag at half mast for a day at Congress Bhawan as a mark of respect to the departed leader.

Speaking at the condolences meet, CLP leader Ibobi Singh stated that Angou’scontributions for the welfare of the people as a true nationalist and as a true Congressman will be remembered forever. 

He further said that his demise is a huge loss not only for the Congress party but also for the whole of Manipur and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace. 

MPCC working president Loken also condoled the sudden demise of the senior leader and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and shared the pain and grief of the bereaved family members.

The condolence meeting was also attended by MPCC working presidents D Korungthang and I Hemochandra Singh, MLA Ak. Mirabai Devi, MLA K Ranjit, MPCC office bearers, chief of frontals, departments, cells and party leaders.
