Recently, Ukhrul district headquarters has witnessed the launching of many business ventures and outlets including restaurants and clothing stores.
The Cove, a sleek restaurant located at Phugreitang Ukhrul was launched on Sunday by a young entrepreneur couple Rinnganung Ramrar and AR Leiyawon Ramrar. The small shelter bay will provide the best Japanese and Chinese cuisines for the people of Ukhul at an affordable rate stated Rinnganug Ramrar during the launching programme. They also aim to provide employment to the local populace by recruiting talents who have experience in the hospitality industry and have come back home during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Situated at the heart of Ukhrul Town, The Cove on the third floor gives you a good view of the scenic beauty of Phangrei, Shirui Kashong, Harva Khangai situated on the eastern part of Ukhrul. One can also get a good view of the vast expanse of western part of Ukhrul.
The Cove will have Chef Makarmi Shaiza, who had served at JW Marriott, Mumbai for two years and at Sea Princess Mumbai for a year.
With specialisation in Japanese and Chinese cuisines, he hopes to dish out the best cuisines to those who want to experience different tastes.
The launch event was attended by Miss Manipur 2019 AR Mathing and popular Tangkhul actress Selina Chanthing.
