Secretary general of the JD (U), Nagaland, Kitoho S Rotokha, who is an intending candidate from 5 Ghaspani-II AC to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) election due in next year on Friday has categorically said that the more than 90 percent of the educated unemployed youth in the state need to ponder on and to retrospect how to be self dependent.

Kitoho was speaking as guest of honour at the culmination day of the 37 Biennial Conference of Kuhuboto Ghakhu Student’s Union (KGSU) held at Ahozhe Village, on the theme “Envisioning Beyond Tomorrow”. The 37 biennial conference started on December 27.

Stating that with the advancement of technology, one needs to focus on the advantage of it rather than misusing it, Rotokha simplified that as all have the potential, one should not stay idle but be focused.

To the ninety percent plus educated unemployed youths of Nagaland, Kitoho, who was a student’s leader (president) of Sumi Kiphimi Khuqhakulu (SKK) or the All Sumi Student’s Union, and also the vice president of Sumi Hoho (SH) encouraged the student’s community that they are the asset of the society though becoming a liability to the society for which he further urged them to be committed in whatever they are good at.

Inculcating them that there is no shortcut or alternative to success, the former student leader also reminded that “ism” has taken back the Naga society to 60 years back which has divided and fragmented the Naga society from regional to clanism. He urged upon all the attendees of the conference to foster brotherhood and oneness among the Naga society as only then, the society would progress.

Hitting back on the ensuing NLA election due in February/March next year, the JD (U) candidate shared that clean election is a process where it cannot be done overnight, but, could bring about a change in the system through holistic participation from an individual to do away with corruption
