Ukhrul District Sports Association (UDSA) is all set to organise the Shirui Lily Cup 2021. The football tournament has been tentatively scheduled to start from November 22 and end on December 4, 2021 at Ukhrul Headquarters.
The tournament will consist of 10 teams. Out of which 2 teams from outside the state and 3 teams from Ukhrul District and the remaining 5 teams on invitation by UDSA.
It is also informed that all participating players including coaches and team management should provide Covid-19 vaccination certificates. Spectators must also produce Covid-19 vaccination certificates and on the spot Covid-19 test would be provided in collaboration with the concerned authority.
As part of the preparation for the forthcoming tournament, the President of UDSA, Alfred K Arthur (MLA 44-Ukhrul AC) has called for an emergency General Body Meeting (GBM) on November 4, 2021, at 10:00 am at the office of UDSA, Wino Bazaar, Ukhrul.
The cash prize for the winner has been fixed at Rs 1, 75,000 and Runners Up at Rs 1, 25, 000. The selected football club will be sent an official invitation for participation in the tournament in a couple of days.
