This is the first official visit of the president of BJP Manipur Pradesh Sharda Devi to Ukhrul District. She will also meet leaders and party workers of western Tangkhul villages including Ringui (Tongou), Sirarakhong, Teinem, Phalee, Somdal and Talui (Tolloi) villages.

As part of “Thambal Campaign”, a two-day tour programme, the president of BJP Manipur Pradesh, Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi and team were accorded a warm welcome at various places in Ukhrul District.
Speaking at a reception programme at Ringui, Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi stated, “If the National President of BJP in Delhi can come to Manipur and visit booth level areas, we decided why can’t we go and visit the booths at village level in the hills. Taking this decision we have come here today. For the 2022 Assembly Elections, we should successfully elect 40 MLAs from the BJP party.” She appealed to the public and party workers to work tirelessly to achieve the set objective.
Former Deputy Speaker and Ex-MLA of 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency and BJP intending candidate Preshow MK Shimray, the president BJP Ukhrul District Yarthotthing Kashung, vice president BJP District Mahila Morcha K Kaphungwon, president 45-Chingai Mandal Bejoy Shatsang, president Mahila Morcha Luckmi Horam and party workers welcomed the president of BJP Manipur Pradesh and her entourage at Mahadev.
The president along with the team also visited the ongoing medical camp at Teinem village organised under the sponsorship of Ningam Chamroy (Retd. IAS), BJP intending candidate from 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency. As a sign of respect to the health workers, on behalf of BJP Manipur, Sharda Devi presented traditional stoles to the doctors. She lauded the health workers for their selfless service in this Covid-19 pandemic times.
This is the first official visit of President BJP Manipur Pradesh, Sharda Devi to Ukhrul District. She will be covering many places and meet leaders and party workers of western Tangkhul villages including Ringui (Tongou), Sirarakhong, Teinem, Phalee, Somdal and Talui (Tolloi) villages.
The BJP state president will also hold a joint meeting with the party office bearers of Ukhrul District followed by a public meeting at Town Hall, Ukhrul and a night halt at Shirui Guest House.
