NH-102 expansion: Thoubal DC gives landowners 24-hour time to dismantle structures

The request has been made to all concerned pattadars/ owners who have been given compensation by the government in connection with the construction/ expansion of NH-102 under Package-I and II starting from Lilong Bridge to Khongjom area.

Thoubal deputy commissioner N Bandana Devi on Tuesday directed owners of land or standing structures from Lilong Bridge to Khongjom area, who have been given compensation by the government, to voluntarily remove or shift or dismantle their structure completely by 2.00 pm on Wednesday.

If they failed to comply with, a mass removal exercise will be started from 7:00 am on Thursday without any further notice, in the interest of the general public, said a notification issued by her in this regard on Tuesday.

It further said that subsequent upon the repeated notices and announcement by way of public address system in this regard, the request has been made once again, as a last intimation, to all concerned affected pattadars/ owners in connection with the construction/ expansion of NH-102 under Package-I and II.
