Nagaland to see more ‘girl empowerment’ in ensuing HLSC, HSSLC Exam 2021

A total of 16835 candidates have already been enrolled with 13024 students in Arts stream, 1347 in commerce stream, 2464 students in Science in the 96 provisional examination centres across the state, out of which 8641 are girls and 8194 are boys.

With more than 16835 students to appear for the ensuing HSLC and HSSLC examinations in Nagaland which is reportedly to begin from April 6, 2021, the girl candidates has already outnumbered the male counterpart for the same examinations.

An official bulletin stated that the HLSC examination will start from April 6 till 29, while the HSLCC examination will begin from April 7 ending the same day.
It stated that in HSSLC examination, a total of 16835 candidates have already been enrolled with 13024 students in Arts stream, 1347 in commerce stream, 2464 students in Science in the 96 provisional examination centres across the state, out of which 8641 are girls and 8194 are boys.

While stating that the Class XI Promotion Examination 2021 have just concluded on March 31, where a total of 17343 candidates have appeared the examination, the bulletin also mentioned that around 23612 candidates will be appearing the HSLC Examination 2021 from 133 provisional examination centres and 4 sub centres, while 742 candidates will also be appearing the HSLC Compartmental Examination 2021
from 41 examination centres.

It may be noted that due to COVID-19 pandemic, more additional examination centres have been created in the districts and sub divisions in order to maintain social distancing in the examination centres.

Earlier on March 17 this year, the Board had an online meeting with the Centre Superintendents where their duties and responsible were discussed in detail and were also they were briefed about the preventive measures/SoPs to be followed during the conduct of the examination in order to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The Board has delivered materials to the examination centres to disinfect the rooms, washrooms, halls etc.

Those candidates sitting for both the examinations have also been requested to read the question paper carefully before they start writing their answers keeping in their mind the marks to be allotted. It also informed that the candidates appearing for the examination (s) would be allowed to bring only the materials that are permitted in the examination hall such as pen, pencil, scale, eraser, sharpener and geometry instruments.

“They are also permitted to bring a pocket hand sanitizer, mask, transparent water bottle too,” the bulletin read while also reminding the students to refrain from any kind of malpractices during the examinations and to reach the examination centre in time.

Meanwhile, the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), has appealed to all the candidates to wear masks, maintain social distancing norms, to avoid contact with unknown person etc and to protect themselves while also paving the same for parents and guardians to guide their ward on the important guidelines/SoPs and to follow it.
