Mural paintings of the past legend of Tangkhuls who have contributed in various fields and traditional attires of the Tangkhul community adorned the walls of Maj Bob Khathing Ralengnao Road at Kasomtang, Ukhrul.

Chairman of Kasomtang Shimva, Chonmi Raleng in a simple programme unveiled the mural paintings on Maj Bob Khathing Ralengnao Road in Kasomtang, Ukhrul in the presence of elders and leaders of the locality.

The mural paintings include the pictures of legendary Maj. Bob Khathing Ralengnao, Suisa Rungsung, Yangmaso Shaiza, Rishang Keishing, Wungmareo Shaiza and H.A Raihao and also feauture the colourful and vibrant traditional attires of Tangkhul community.
The initiative was taken up under the idea of Kharkhui Raleng and sponsored by sons and grandsons of Maj Bob Khathing Ralengnao. Kharkhui Raleng informed that “the project is to promote stories of exceptional Tangkhul personalities, their success stories to the people while also promoting Kasomtang.”
Kasomtang was declared as free plastic locality in 2017 and is considered as one of the cleanest locality in Ukhrul Town
