Manipur reports 13 more deaths, 732 new COVID-19 cases

District Hospitals and government institutions have 204D, 73B type filled Oxygen cylinders at present.

COVID-19 claimed 13 more lives on Friday in Manipur. 732 fresh cases were reported taking the total infection to 47,843. 

Active cases in the state stand at 7,602. Out of these 4,512 active cases are in home isolation. Results of 4,307 tests were received on Friday. The state positivity rate of the day stands at 17 percent. 

Four individuals each from Imphal East and Imphal West, two each from Bishnupur and Thoubal, and one from Ukhrul died at — DH Thoubal (2), CCC Bishnupur (2), Shija Hospital (2), DH Ukhrul (1), RIMS (4) and JNIMS (2) hospital, taking the death toll to 761, according to the Health Department. 

Most of the daily new cases continue to be reported from Imphal West with 213 new cases. The other positive cases from the general population were — 170 from Imphal East, 83 from Thoubal, 73 from Bishnupur, 64 from Kakching, 62 from Churachandpur, 19 each from Ukhrul and Kangpokpi, six each from Pherzawl and Tamenglong, five from Senapati, four from Chandel, three each from Noney and Jiribam, and one from Tengnoupal. 

579 persons were discharged from — CAPF (24), Home Isolation (472), RIMS (5), JNIMS (4), BB (7), NSU (13), SHRI (14), RD Wing (2), LANVA (6), Babina Speciality Hospital (1), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (11), Thoubal (3), Ukhrul (7) and Churachandpur (10). The recovery rate now stands at 82.51 percent. 

Oxygen Status

As per the Health Department, in the last 24 hours, a total of 1580 D type Oxygen cylinders and 592 B-type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. District Hospitals and government institutions have 204D, 73B type filled cylinders, out of these —
