The Congress candidate for Wangoi AC, Salam Joy Singh, has been expelled from primary membership of the Congress Party with immediate effect, barely 24 hours before Manipur goes to poll.
Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee working president T Mangibabu Singh on Sunday evening issued an order to this effect.
As per the order, the Congress party found prima facie evidence against Salam Joy Singh for breach of “disciplinary rules” after the party continuously received reports from Congress workers and leaders from Wangoi Assembly Constituency including some viral videos.

In a three corner fight, BJP candidate Oinam Lukhoi Singh, NPP candidate Khuraijam Loken Singh and INC candidate Salam Joy Singh are contesting from the Wangoi AC. The voters of the constituency are voting on Monday in the first phase.
