Drive Begins For Collection of Electors’ Aadhaars in 43-Phungyar, 44-Ukhrul and 45-Chingai ACs

Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul, Krishna Kumar stated that “wide collection of Aadhaar from the electors will be taken up so that duplicity can be avoided in the electoral rolls. Form 6 (B) can be collected from the EROs for linking the Aadhaar. Any query can be available by calling helpline number 1950 or from the DEO.”

The District Election of Ukhrul organised launching programme of collection of Aadhaar for electors on voluntary basis for linking and authentication of electoral rolls for  the three Constituencies namely, 43-Phungyar, 44-Ukhrul and 45-Chingai Assembly Constituencies at DC Conference Hall, Ukhrul on Monday.

Speaking at the launching programme, Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul, Krishna Kumar stated that “wide collection of Aadhaar from the electors will be taken up so that duplicity can be avoided in the electoral rolls. Form 6 (B) can be collected from the EROs for linking the Aadhaar. Any query can be available by calling helpline number 1950 or from the DEO.”

ADM of Ukhrul Chunglenmang Kipgen informed that “BLOs will collect xerox copies of Aadhaar and digitize them in the Garuda App. Form 6 will be used only for new or fresh enrollment. Enrollment for new voters will be open in four windows i.e. on 1 January, 1 April, 1 July and 1 December of the year. The BLOs will go to Form 6 (B),  the Aadhaar column, where every eligible electors will be digitised through the app.”

Training for 44-Ukhrul Assembly Constituency will be held on 3 August at 11:00am at DRDA Hall, Mini Secretariat Complex, Ukhrul. Booth Level Officers will be visiting to all the polling stations for collection of electoral aadhaar and the exercise will continue till March 31, 2023.

The launching programme was attended by EROs, AEROs, leaders and workers from various political parties.
