The representatives of various sports discipline functioning in Ukhrul District had a joint meeting at the office of Ukhrul District Sports Association, Wino Bazaar, Ukhrul on Monday (1 August 2022) and decided to participate in the forthcoming 2nd State Games (Manipur Olympic Games) 2022, organised by Manipur Olympic Association.
Team from Ukhrul District will participate in the following disciplines, i.e. football, boxing, badminton, basketball, fencing, table tennis and others.
While expressing gratitude to Manipur Olympic Association for organising such Games, the representatives of various sports discipline functioning in Ukhrul District also expressed strong resentment against Manipur Olympic Association for not inducting any member from Ukhrul District as member of the Games Co-ordination Committee for the 2nd State Games.
However, the members present agreed to extend maximum cooperation to Ukhrul Co-ordinator appointed by Manipur Olympic Association for smooth and successful conduct of the Games.
