The proscribed PREPAK (Pro)’s Tactical Action, Cobra Task Force-3 has claimed responsibility of the IED blast at Lilong Usoipokpi, Thoubal district.
In a press note issued by Th Eshingchaoba, Assistant Publicity Secretary PREPAK (Pro), the outfit also expressed “sadness and grief” over the incident in which one AR rifleman hailing from Arunachal Pradesh was killed and another one from Tripura was injured.
PREPAK (Pro) said, “In fact, there was a moment of emotional hesitation” considering the unfortunate results that would have resulted from the blast. “We also felt the sadness and grief of the families while beholding the lifeless body and injured personals of IOF. Such predictable unfortunate outcomes compelled us to curb our abilities in the past”, said the press note.

While appreciating the government of India for “many centrally sponsored development programmes” that have been implemented in Manipur and frequent visits of Indian leaders to “look after Manipur”, PREPAK (Pro) reminded that “India forcibly merged Kangleipak (Manipur) into Indian Union” and it is their responsibility to pay special attention to the state that have been neglected for a long time.
“So, their actions are too little too late as they try hastily to cover their past mistakes and their step motherly attitudes. We have the resources to carry out often similar actions of Usoipokpi. We don’t like such deadly action but it would be happened endlessly and restlessly as long as IOFs are stationed in Kangleipak (Manipur)”, asserted PREPAK (Pro).
