United National Liberation Front (UNLF) has claimed that W Inao @ Chingkhei (45), hailing from Kongba Uchekkon and who was residing at Moirang Sendra Road was killed because he was an “informer” and someone who threatened people, extorted money in the name of revolutionary activities.
According to a press note issued by Th Charairongba, Media Coordinator, UNLF, Inao @ Chingkhei had earlier surrendered to the “enemy” and on August 13, 2023, he along with others established an armed “gang” called People’s Protection Army (PPA).
In the name of PPA, the members of this group started threatening people and extorting money from areas like Moirang Bazaar, Hapta Golapati, Singjamei and others. In order to correct their mistakes, Meira Paibis and mothers were duly informed to contact them but they showed disrespect to them too and asked the women folk not to disturb them at all, said UNLF.
PPA was led by one Md Tayep Alli @ Tabe @ Kaji Umar, son of Md. Ushup Alli and the same group has not only given a bad name to true freedom fighters but also acted as a stumbling blocks in their works. Not only this but also PPA was fomenting trouble between Meiteis and Meitei Pangals, claimed UNLF.
UNLF has asked Md Tayep Alli @ Tabe @ Kaji Umar to surrender to the party within 10 days and PPA has been permanently banned, said UNLF.
Keisam James, son of Keisam Ibunggo, Chanam Sandrok Mayai Leikai, Kishan, son of Late Nodiyachand from the same Leikai who were apprehended with W Inao were safely sent back to their respective homes, informed the press release.
