Ukhrul: Shangshak Police Station organises community outreach programme

Around 500 saplings of trees were planted around the premises of JNV Ramva.

Shangshak Police Station, Ukhrul in collaboration with Village Authority of Ramva, Student’s Union of Ramva, and Ukhrul Forest Division under the theme “Our Survival Depends On Survival Of Plants And Animals” planted a variety of tree saplings at the premise of JNV Ramva on Saturday. This is the second community outreach programme organised by Shangshak Police Station, Ukhrul. 

Attending the tree plantation programme, DFO of Ukhrul, Shanngam Shaliwo stressed on the importance of forest for our survival and appealed to the gathering to take up such activities even in the days to come. 

Principal of JNV Ramva, Lungshim Horam expressed gratitude and appreciation to Shangshak PS, Ukhrul Forest Division, headman and Village Authority of Ramva and Ramva Student’s Union for organising such programme. 

Around 500 saplings of trees were planted around the premises of JNV Ramva. 

The plantation programme was attended by RO, Forest Division Ukhrul, Chirmishan, headman of Ramva, AS. Wungnaoyo Zimikaong with VA members, leaders of Ramva Youth and OC of Shangshak PS, inspector H Chiphang.
