Two energetic youths despite facing odds have set an example for the youth of Nagaland by way of introducing an LED manufacturing unit set up in a far-flung village, Longkhim, Tuensang, with an approach to let the youth from the village sustain themselves through “hard work”.
With two young Naga entrepreneurs locking horns together to give birth to the “TK Naga LED Lamp” manufacturing since launching the product recently on April 8, Khumtsase A Sangtam, while interacting with this correspondent said that he along with his business partner, L Tsathrili Sangtam, were driven towards “inquisitiveness” to try new things which ultimately led to the introduction of the small-scale industry.
Having a passion for electronic items since his childhood, 30-year-old Khumtsase has already planned to recruit Naga youths through his manufacturing unit keeping in mind the employment opportunities.
Though he along with his business partner has not approached the state government for any assistance to spread its wings, however, he said that the TK Naga Lamp manufacturing unit, the first of its kind in the state, aims to operate on Business-to-Business (B2B) model which also aims to generate employment opportunities and to achieve economies of scale and competitive pricing while emphasizing on providing high quality, energy-efficient LED bulbs to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly lighting solutions.
Sharing the technical aspect of the manufacturing process, Khumtsase Sangtam, said that it involves several key steps including sourcing of components-raw materials such as LED chips, heat sinks, drivers, and housing which are sourced from reliable suppliers to ensure product quality.
