Three leaders of Kuki Revolutionary Army held in connection with killing of its army chief

The KRA ‘army chief’ Janggin, aka Jetlee Baite (40), and his bodyguard Lamginlen Hangshing (20) were brutally killed by unknown armed miscreants at his Lhungtin residence, under Saikul Sub-Division, under Kangpokpi district on April 29, 2021.

Three leaders of the Kuki armed outfit, Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) have been arrested in connection with the killing of its own ‘army chief’ Jangin Baite. 

The arrested leaders of KRA have been identified as KRA CAO Hopeson, KRA ‘home secretary’ Zeremy, and KRA ‘general secretary’ Johnson, according to sources.

The KRA ‘army chief’ Janggin, aka Jetlee Baite (40), s/o (L) Tongpao Baite of Lhungtin village and his bodyguard Lamginlen Hangshing (20), s/o Hellal Hangshing of Tingpibung village were brutally killed by unknown armed miscreants at his Lhungtin residence, under Saikul Sub-Division, under Kangpokpi district on April 29, 2021.

A case was registered under the Saikul Police Station regarding the killing. 

The KRA, which is under Suspension of Operations with the governments, is also under Tripartite Talks with the central and state governments under the umbrella of Kuki National Organisation (KNO).
