Ukhrul Police organised a promotion ceremony for the newly promoted Assistant Sub-inspector of Ukhrul Police at Police Reserve Line, Phungreitang Ukhrul on Monday.

As many as 52 Ukhrul Police who were in the rank of Head Constables were promoted to Assistant Sub-Inspector on September 21,2022.
Superintendent of Police, Ukhrul, Ningshem Vashum decorated the rank to the promoted police officers. Speaking at the occasion, Ukhrul Superintendent of Police, Ningshem Vashum congratulated the newly promoted police officers on their promotions. He stated “today is a joyous moment for you, your family and for the Police fraternity. I urge all of you to continue serve the force wholeheartedly. With your promotions comes bigger responsibility. Be a role model and not rest on your laurels.”
The ceremony also witnessed performance by fame Tangkhul artists, Guru Rewben Mashangva, Pakmi Mahong and Nimshimphy Muivah. A hearty meal was laid out as part of the ceremony.
