Accusing the Indian government of indulging in divisive policy and flattery in the name of finding the Naga political solution, NSCN (I-M) on Friday categorically stated that it is no longer naïve enough to be carried away by such an outrageous flattery.

In a apparent reaction to Working Committee, Naga National Political Groups Convener N Kitovi Zhimomi’s “post-solution” formula, NSCN (I-M) alleged that “made in India collaborators” are planted to confuse and hoodwink the Nagas with its typical high sounding promises but having no political commitment to fulfill as done in the past.

“The demonic mask of the Government of India with ‘post solution’ offer is being brought back to live again as it is desperate to maneuvered her way to trap the Naga people again to accept whatever is being offered to hurry up the Naga talk,” it said

Significantly, the bitter lesson of the past is driving away the NSCN from giving any face value after seeing through the crafty wickedness of the offer, it added.

NSCN (I-M) has made its stand clear that it would not follow the forbidden route to the Naga solution that is linked to foregoing the Naga national flag and Constitution which is the face of the Naga political struggle and identity.

“That would be no better than making a comical entity out of the Naga solution. The Naga flag with divine origin cannot be traded or bargained to make the Nagas as infidel people,” it said.

The Naga outfit also said that the huge burden of the Naga political issue that the Government of India is struggling to unload is not the making of the Naga people. It is deeply rooted in India’s malicious pleasure violating the historical and political rights of the Naga people for more than six decades, it added.

“Ironically, when the issue gets too hot to handle, the Government of India started to indulge in divisive policy and flattery in the name of finding the Naga political solution,” NSCN (I-M) alleged.

Stating that it is talking about the Naga national flag and Constitution (Yehzabo), the two issues that is holding up the Naga solution under the ongoing Indo-Naga political talk in Delhi, the outfit said, “The chequered history of the Indo-Naga political issue is clear enough before us, with accords and agreements that were never meant to be implemented in letter and spirit.”

Naturally, the Nagas are still haunted by this flamboyant show of dealing on the Naga issue, it added.
