Nagaland government convenes consultative meet on AFSPA on April 4

The government has also invited tribal hohos and organisations to the consultative meeting.

Nagaland government has convened a consultative meeting on April 4, 10 am at Rhododendron Hall, Chumoukedima, to deliberate on the issue(s) pertaining to the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) 1958.
According to an official communiqué issued by the Home Department, Nagaland, Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, along with his Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton, council of ministers, advisors, chief secretary, DGP, and other senior officials would attend the meeting.
The communiqué also stated that Presidents of Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC), Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO), Tenyimi People’s Organization (TPO), Angami People’s Organization (APO), Kohima, Ao Senden, Mokokchung, Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO), Phek, Chang Khulei Setsang (CKS), Tuensang, Konyak Union Mon (KUM), Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC), Noklak, Lotha Hoho Wokha, Phom People’s Council (PPC), Longleng, Pochury Hoho (PH), Meluri, Rengma Hoho (RH), Tseminyu, Sumi Hoho (SH), Zunheboto, Tikhir Tribal Council (TTC), Kuisam, United Sangtam Likhum Pumji (USLP), Kiphire, Yimkhiung Tribal Council (YTC), Shamator, and Nagaland Zeliang People’s Organization (ZPO), Peren, have been requested to attend the meet along with two representatives each.
