Kangpokpi splashed with wall paintings of ‘separate administration’ text, removes ‘Manipur’ from signboards

After the unanimous stance for ‘Separate Administration’ of the tribal Chin-Kuki-Mizo-Zomi people and following the joint stance of the ten tribal MLAs of Manipur for the same, wall paintings with the word ‘Separate Administration’ and removal of the word ‘Manipur’ was witnessed across the Kangpokpi district on Sunday.
Mainly in Kangpokpi District Headquarters, a banner written with “Separate Administration, Welcome to Kanggui District Headquarters, Sadar Hills District” had been seen raised up in a gate with no Manipur word.
Most of the walls along the roadside were seen being painted or written with the words, “Separate Administration”, “United Chin Kuki Mizo”, “No Peace, No Compensation, only political solution”, “We want Separate Administration”, “Separate Administration 4 Hills and Valley”, “Greater Mizoram”, “In defense of our ancestral land and freedom”, “Save Kuki”, “Long Live Our Fighters”, etc.
Meanwhile, on all the signboards of every shop and institution, the word “Manipur” was seen removed or erased.
Meanwhile, the lifeline of Manipur the National Highway -2 has been obstructed till today with stones piling up along the road. Volunteers were seen in hundreds and thousands as and when rumored about trucks attempted to pass through the highway.
Meanwhile, two heavy vehicles of Keystone Infrastructure were burnt down by volunteers along the National Highway-2 in Kangpokpi District on Sunday morning at around 9:30 am between Mongpijang village and Kholep village.
In one of the trucks front side Lamjingba Motors was also found written. One of the truck registration no. is MN05C-3920 while the other truck registration could not be ascertained.
