Kamjong District Admin ropes in organisations for Covid vaccination

All secular and religious organisations shall involve and extend active cooperation with the District Administration of Kamjong District in reaching out to the last person of the district in the ongoing vaccination drive.

In a joint effort to expedite and scale up COVID-19 vaccination exercise in Kamjong District, Deputy Commissioner of Kamjong District R  Rang Peter called for a meeting on Friday with civil societies, religious leaders, student’s organisation, All Tangkhul Medico’s Association (ATMA), health department officials, rapid response team (WHO), electronics and print media and government officials at the Camp Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Kamjong District near 2nd MR Complex, Imphal.

The members, after sharing their views and keeping in view of the present scenario, unanimously felt that all secular and religious organisations shall involve and extend active cooperation with the District Administration of Kamjong District in reaching out to the last person of the district in the ongoing vaccination drive.

All concerned organisations shall also communicate and partake to reach out to their respective units and churches so as to sensitise each and every person in the village.

It also appealed to all law-abiding and eligible citizens, above 18 years of age of Kamjong District to partake in getting vaccinated at the earliest so as to safeguard and protect one and all during the pandemic. 

The meeting was attended by Executive Secretary of Eastern Tangkhul Naga Baptist Association (ETNBA), Rev. Soreingam Ningshen, Executive Secretary of Southern Tangkhul Naga Baptist Association (STNBA), Rev. Daniel Kashung, President of Zingsho Longphang, Joshua Konghar, Secretary of Aze Longphang, S Marchang, President of Tangkhul Aze Katamnao Long (TAKL), Hungyo Kahorngam, President of Zingsho Katamnao Long,  Ngachanthing Shipo, Vice President of All Tangkhul Medico’s Association (ATMA), Dr. Soreingam Ragui and CMO of Kamjong, Dr. T. Nilakanta Singh.

Kamjong District COVID-19 vaccination rate stands at 29.2% as on November 11, 2021.
