JNIMS employees to resign en masse

The decision was taken after the non implementation of 7th ROP in JNIMS even after 100 days of verbal assurance for implementing it by the chief secretary, government of Manipur.

Employees of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal resolved to “submit joint mass resignation” with effect from Wednesday over the non implementation of 7th ROP in JNIMS even after 100 days of verbal assurance for implementing it by the chief secretary, government of Manipur.

A joint governing body meeting of the Teachers Association (TA), JNIMS, Association for all Non-Teaching Staffs (AANTS), JNIMS and the Trained Nurses Association (TNA), JNIMS was held on Tuesday at the Hospital Conference Hall JNIMS. 

The decision was taken after many deliberations from all members and thorough discussion, according to a letter written to the JNIMS director informing him about the resolutions taken by the associations. 

The meeting also resolved that if any employees or members of TA, AANTS and TNA are victimised individually by the authority, all the members will unanimously resolve not to withdraw the mass resignation papers. It was resolved that no members of the joint committee will withdraw the resignation paper individually.
