Manipur, celebrated as the birthplace of polo and a region steeped in cultural and cinematic heritage, is poised to host the 2nd edition of the Eikhoigi Imphal International Film Festival (EIIFF) from 6–9 February 2025 in Imphal. Organized by the Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) and Manipur State Film & Television Institute (MSFTI), the festival aims to elevate the art of cinema while positioning Manipur as a strategic hub for independent filmmaking.

Symbolism and Memento
At a media briefing held at MSFDS, the festival committee unveiled the official memento, designed by acclaimed artist Robin Wahengbam, creator of the 1999 National Games mascot. The memento, centered on the Manipuri Pony, embodies the resilience of cinema and Manipur’s artistic spirit. Wahengbam emphasized his inspiration: the indomitable energy of both filmmakers and the endangered Manipuri Pony, underscoring the urgency of conserving this indigenous breed.

Delegate Registration
Festival Director Sunzu Bachaspatimayum outlined the accreditation process:

- Children’s Policy: While welcome at industry venues, food courts, and cultural events, children require advance seat reservations for film screenings through the festival website.
