Manipur reported 18 more deaths on Thursday with 813 fresh COVID-19 cases. The state positivity rate improves to 18.92 percent.
Active cases in the state now stand at 7,462. Out of these, 4,824 active cases are in home isolation.
In the last 24 hours ending 5 pm Thursday, five persons from Kakching, four from Imphal West, two from Churachandpur, and one each from Kamjong and Tamenglong died at CCC Kakching (1), DH Tamenglong (1), Jivan Hospital (1), Rajmed (1), DH Churachandpur (2), Home Isolation (3), JNIMS (4), and RIMS (5), according to the Health Department.
300 fresh cases were detected from Imphal West, 169 from Imphal East, 109 from Churachandpur, 57 from Kakching, 53 from Bishnupur, 33 from Thoubal, 24 from Senapati, 17 from Jiribam, 12 each from Jiribam and Kangpokpi, nine from Tamenglong, seven from Ukhrul, six from Chandel, and four from Kamjong.
576 persons were discharged during the last 24 hours, taking the recovery rate to 82.57 percent. They were discharged from — CAPF (13), Home Isolation (460), RIMS (4), JNIMS (9), BB (6), NSU (7), SHRI (11), RD Wing (6), LANVA (13), Babina Speciality Hospital (1), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (30), Jivan Hospital (3), Senapati (5), Churachandpur (7), and Chandel (1).
The total infection in the state has reached 47,111 and 748 total deaths.
Oxygen Status
As per the Health Department, in the last 24 hours, a total of 1,402 D type Oxygen cylinders and 543 B-type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. District Hospitals and government institutions have 203D, 57B type cylinders at present.
