Chief Election Commissioner Inaugurates SVEEP exhibition

The Chief Election Commissioner and two Election Commissioners were felicitated by First-Time Voters on their arrival at the SVEEP Exhibition site. Balloons with slogan ‘Manipur Votes, 2022’ were also released marking the inauguration of the exhibition

On the second day of the Election Commission of India’s visit to Manipur, the Chief Election Commissioner of India Sushil Chandra inaugurated SVEEP – Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation Exhibition in connection with the General Election to 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly, 2022 at Hotel Classic Grande, Chingmeirong, Imphal on Tuesday.

The Chief Election Commissioner and two Election Commissioners were felicitated by First-Time Voters on their arrival at the SVEEP Exhibition site. Balloons with slogan ‘Manipur Votes, 2022’ were also released marking the inauguration of the exhibition.

Sushil Chandra flagged off two video Vans of Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur with messages of ‘Informed and Ethical Voting’, ‘No Voters to be left behind’. State Icons and Old Aged voters were felicitated by the Chief Election Commissioner.

The SVEEP Exhibition was organised for the Commission’s visit by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur highlighting various activities taken up during Special Summary Revision, 2022. Exhibition of photographs of activities on SSR -2022, Accessible Elections, Meet the Icons, Cultural Troupe programs under Regional Outreach Bureau, Imphal, Ballot Battle Quiz Competition, State wide observance of National Voters’ Day, State Level SVEEP Workshop, Electoral Literacy Clubs (ELCs), engaging students to sensitise them on their electoral rights and familiarise them with the electoral process, were among others that were prominently displayed during the Exhibition.

The exhibition was attended by Election Commissioners Shri Rajiv Kumar, Shri Anup Chandra Pandey, Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur Shri Rajesh Agrawal, senior officials of Election Commission of India, State Election Icons and Old Aged voters among others.
