Bharatiya Janata Party booth-level political awareness campaign of 23- Nungba (DCC) Circle for the forthcoming Manipur General Assembly Election 2022 was held at Nungba Bazaar on Thursday, BJP Nungba Mandal said on Friday.
The awareness campaign was attended by about 3,000 BJP supporters of 54-Nungba (ST) Assembly Constituency, said a press statement given out by President of BJP Nungba Mandal, Makuphun Rongmei. Member Core Committee BJP Manipur Pradesh M Bhorot Singh, Former President of BJP Manipur Pradesh and Ex-MLA M Priyo Kumar Singh, Secretary BJP Manipur Pradesh M. Daniel and president BJP Tamenglong District Stody Dangmei attended the programme.
While delivering the speech, M Bhorot Singh applauded the mammoth gathering at Nungba Bazaar despite the inclement weather. He expressed his confidence in the BJP to come out victorious in the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election 2022 for which overwhelming support shown to the BJP party candidate was imminent.
He also assured the gathering that under the leadership of PM Modi, national president JP Nadda, CM N Biren Singh and president BJP Manipur A Sarda Dev, the party would come up with an absolute majority in the 2022 state election. He further stated that the BJP-led Government under CM N Biren Singh has bridged the gap between hills and valley.
Besides, he said that the party ticket would be awarded to the candidate who has a winning chance and support of the majority of party workers/members and also appeal to the people to work hard to get BJP elected MLA in 2022 election. In a sensitive assembly constituency where Congress stalwart leader Gaikhangam is there both CM and president are apprised to bring amicable settlement while awarding party ticket.
M. Priyo Kumar Singh, M. Daniel, Athui Gangnei, Asing Thaituk also spoke and emphasised on the need to strengthen the BJP so that BJP MLA represent 54-Nungba (ST) Assembly Constituency in the forthcoming Manipur General Assembly Election 2022.
