All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM) on Tuesday stated that it was “appalled by the double standard policy of the government of India concerning the Indo-Naga political issue”.

In a press statement signed by President Luikang Bruce, ANSAM said that even after signing the Framework Agreement on August 3m 2015, the government of India  continues to target the Naga political leaders to derail the hard earned peace process.

“This is seen from the NIA New Delhi, letter no. RC 01/2010/NIA/DLI/22635 the order seeking record of movable and immovable property of Eno. Anthony Shimray, Chief of the Naga Army GPRN/NSCN who is also the coordinator for Naga Indo Peace Talk on 22nd December, 2022 by the Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul. This is a sinister policy designed to demoralize the Naga army and undermining the peace process in particular. The ANSAM wants to seek clarity about the sincerity of the Government of India regarding the peace process”, stated ANSAM.
