Shija Hospitals & Research Institute (SHRI) was conferred with the ‘Best Hospital to Work for’ by the Association of Healthcare Providers in India (AHPI)

Shija Hospitals & Research Institute (SHRI) was conferred with the ‘Best Hospital to Work for’ by the Association of Healthcare Providers in India (AHPI). CEO, SHRI Dr Bonney Kh and CMD, SHRI Dr Palin Khundongbam received the award on behalf of SHRI at the AHPI Global Conclave 2022 held in Hotel Lalit, Mumbai on 22 April 2022.

SHRI got the award for establishing a strong Human Relations Department that strives to build positive connections, promote transparency, and advocate for non-punitive measures, said a statement issued by the hospital.

As per the statement, AHPI has over 12,000 healthcare establishments as members and as the representative body of Healthcare Organizations in India has introduced AHPI healthcare awards annually to recognize and celebrate the excellence achieved by the organizations in the healthcare industry in various fields. The award has been designed based on objective criteria.

The AHPI Award Technical Committee reviews the applications and empanelled surveyors to assess the shortlisted hospitals to ensure compliance. The Technical Committee’s findings, as well as the surveyor’s report, are subsequently scrutinized by the independent jury. The jury determines the number of awards in each category, and their judgment is final. The Human Resource Department of SHRI gave an online presentation to the jury and the rest is history, it added.

Honoured to be recognized with the coveted AHPI award, SHRI said the organization has well-defined departments, and a conducive working environment with various employee benefits programs. SHRI is one of the largest hospitals in North-Eastern India with a private medical college. With an inherent emphasis on clinical excellence, the organization is one of the few entities in the northeast region with a strong presence throughout primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare, it added.
