Amidst the COVID crisis in the state, All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) urged the Manipur Government to make the committees which were formed to fight the pandemic more active.
In view of the rising number of cases in the state, AMSU in a release on Wednesday said that the government should initiate steps to increase the number of beds in the hospital.
The student body also urged the government to formulate specific programmes for aggressive testing and mass vaccination. In order to combat the third wave, more hospitals and Oxygen plants should be set up, it added.
Stating that there are complaints of some Leikais not getting the prescribed amount of rice, AMSU urged the concerned minister and MLAs to look into the matter immediately.
