The group asked all the warring groups to respect Universal Human Rights and stop destroying the lives and properties of innocent people of all sides. “We urge the Meiteis to stop targeting innocent people of other communities in the valley and the Kukis to stop harassing innocent people of other communities in hill areas especially in Kangpokpi and Moreh”, stated CorCom.

CorCom, a conglomerate of proscribed armed groups in Manipur has unequivocally condemned what it called “hate crimes” under a “proxy war” allegedly designed by India.
In a press statement, CorCom stated, “It is very saddening that for more than two and half months have passed and the people of Manipur (Kangleipak) are drawn helplessly into the vortex of a proxy war. This proxy war is carefully designed by the Indian Colonial Rule so that the genuine struggle for the sovereignty and Independence of Manipur (Kangleipak) is lost in a murky communal/ethnic conflict and hence can be subdued easily with sheer Military power”.
The proscribed group has alleged that the present proxy war is the fallout of the forced annexation of Manipur (Kangleipak) and imposition of the constitution of India, which is “alien and divisive to the people of Manipur (Kangleipak)”.
Subsequently, CorCom has accused India of playing “Divide and Destroy” policy amongst the ethnic people of
Manipur (Kangleipak) as well as its adjoining region which is wreaking havoc on the lives of the people. “As the present conflict drags on, unfortunately, the people of Manipur (Kangleipak) are in the death-trap of Hate Game plotted by INDIA And its Henchmen, as a result many innocent people especially women and children are becoming the inevitable victim of Hate Crime in this proxy war”, said the group.
CorCom while condemning the inhuman parading of two innocent women and all forms of Hate Crimes and stating that it would punish the perpetrators, further appealed to all the communities of Manipur (Kangleipak) to let sanity prevail and stop
targeting innocent people and to defend the unity of Manipur (Kangleipak) as One.
“We are fighting to regain our lost sovereignty so that we can have that kind of self-rule and constitution,
which will safeguard and fulfil the aspirations of all the ethnic groups of Manipur (Kangleipak). However,
we are also fighting all the elements both internal and external, who challenge the integrity and
sovereignty of Manipur (Kangleipak)”, stated CorCOM.
