Thoubal Khunou Village became the first village in Wangkhem Assembly constituency of Manipur’s Thoubal district to be fully vaccinated with the first dose of COVID vaccine.
MLA K Meghachandra appreciated the activities of the Covid-19 Task Force, Thoubal Khunou and the District Administration, Thoubal.
The MLA of Wangkhem Assembly Constituency inspected the second dose vaccination drive programme at Thoubal Khunou Village and Babu Bazar on Thursday.
MLA Meghachandra maintained that vaccination is the best way to protect from severe COVID-19 infections and deaths due to COVID-19 and post-COVID complications. He also appealed to all to get vaccinated to fight against COVID-19, in view of the reality of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
As of August 18, 14,62,972 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the state, out of which 11,72,909 individuals have been administered the first dose and 2,90,063 with the second dose.
