A total of seven COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Ukhrul on Sunday.
In order to curb the spread of the deadly Coronavirus in Ukhrul District, the District Magistrate had issued for sealing of their residential premises on Sunday.
In view of the impending threat in the area, the District Magistrate has declared immediate containment measures in the area to prevent further spread of the disease, ordering for immediate sealing of the house/compound, barred entry and exit of the population from the containment area, and had asked to initiate active surveillance of COVID-19 cases.
The cumulative numbers of positives in the district stands at 128. As on May 8, 2021, the total active case stands at 84 with three referred cases and one death.
