Shonmaho Yarnao Park situated at the picturesque Mount Longthan of Phungcham and was constructed in commemoration of a decade celebration of Shonmaho Yarnao.

Shonmaho Yarnao Park at Longthan, Phungcham, Ukhrul District, Manipur, was inaugurated on Thursday and is now open to the public. About 28km from Ukhrul Headquarters, the park is situated at the tri junction of Phungcham Paorei and Varangalai.
Social Worker, Yaruimung Zimik inaugurated the Shonmaho Yarnao Park situated at the picturesque Mount Longthan of Phungcham in the presence of Wungnaongam Horamwo, Headman of Phungcham village.
The park was constructed in commemoration of a decade celebration of Shonmaho Yarnao. Speaking at the occasion, Yaruimung Zimik lauded the initiative of Shonmaho Yarnao. He stated, “Shonmaho Yarnao has been actively involved in taking up various activities in the village. The Yarnao is responsible for beautifying the village and decorating the main entrance gate of Phungcham village during Christmas and New Year for the past many years. Their activities make us feel welcome and lively. There is so much to learn from Shonmaho Yarnao and I appeal to everyone present here today to emulate their selfless service.” Yaruimung Zimik implored the gathering to support each other and extend cooperation to the village authorities for a better tomorrow.
Wungnaongam Horamwo implored the gathering to stand united and pave the way for a common interest of the village.
The inauguration programme was attended by Chairman VDC, Phokreingam Pheirei, President of Phungcham Shanao Long, Maireila Pheirei and elders of Phungcham.
