All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) and Ukhrul District Sports Association (UDSA) on Wednesday had a meeting at Turf Ground, Lamlong, Imphal and has finalized the details for smoothly conducting the 29th edition of Shirui Lily Cup 2021.

The 29th edition of Shirui Lily Cup 2021 – National Level Football Tournament has been scheduled from November 22 to December 4, 2021 at Ukhrul Headquarters.
In this regard, All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) and Ukhrul District Sports Association (UDSA) on Wednesday had a meeting at Turf Ground, Lamlong, Imphal and has finalised the details for smoothly conducting the 29th edition of Shirui Lily Cup 2021.
The AMFA team led by its president Ratan Kumar and secretary, L. Jyotirmoy Roy approved the code of conduct for the tournament submitted by Ukhrul District Sports Association (UDSA). It has been agreed that any inter-district transfer of players will be only through AMFA. However, transfer of players within the district will be through the respective District Sports Association.
A total of 10 teams have been confirmed for participating in the 29th Shirui Lily Cup 2021. Two teams from outside the state and eight teams from Manipur will vie for the coveted title which will carry a cash prize of Rs. 1,75,000/- for the winner and Rs. 1,25,000/- for the runner up.
From Manipur the following club has confirmed their participation — Anouba Imagi Mangal (AIM), Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU), Keinou Library And Sports Association (KLASA), Nambul Mapal Athletic and Cultural Organisation (NACO), Phungyar FC, Yatkhok United FC, United Brothers FC and Pasi FC. Lajong FC and New Market FC will be the two clubs who will be participating as a team from outside the State.
Secretary of Ukhrul District Sports Association, Tennoson Pheiray informed that the last date for submission of entry forms is November 18, 2021. Managers meeting and draw of lots for fixture will be held on November 20, 2021. The venue and time will be intimated soon to the participating teams. Eligibilities of players and officials and code of conduct can also be availed from AMFA office at Imphal.
It was also informed that all participating players including coaches and team management should provide COVID-19 vaccination certificates. Spectators must also produce COVID-19 vaccination certificates and on the spot COVID-19 test would be provided in collaboration with the concerned authority.
Shirui Lily Cup Football Tournament was started in the year 1972-73 at Ukhrul Headquarters. During the 27th edition of Shirui Lily Cup 2008, it was recognised as a National Level Football Tournament by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) with the initiative and active support from All Manipur Football Association (AMFA).
