Renowned folk singer Guru Rewben Mashangva and legendary footballer Oinam Bembem landed in Imphal on Wednesday to a rousing welcome.

While Bembem was conferred the Padma Shri award for the year 2020, the ceremony was held this week, as it could not be held last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Legendary boxer MC Mary Kom was conferred the Padma Vibhushan for 2020.
