Tiddim Road Athletic Union Football Club (TRAU FC) cruises into the semi final at the ongoing 29th edition of Shirui Lily Cup 2021 – National Level Football Tournament. TRAU FC overcame Yarkhok United FC of Ukhrul in a heartbreaking penalty shoot out after the match ended in full time with a score of 1-1.
Samte (Jersey No. 13) of TRAU FC found the net in the 33rd minute. Peniel Shatsang (Jersey No. 6) of Yarkhok United FC equalised with a beautiful long shot in the 54th minute. The match played on Saturday was one of the best football matches played in this tournament so far. Both sides showed equal skill and sportsmanship.
The score remained 1-1 at full time play and the whistle blew to decide the winner through kicks from penalty marks. The kicks resulted in 8-7 in favour of TRAU FC.

TRAU FC will face the winner of Match No. 6 which will be played between KLASA FC and New Market FC of Kohima on November 30, 2021. Around 2500 football lovers watched the beautiful game played on Saturday.
Shillong Lajong FC and United Brothers FC will play for a semi final berth on November 29, 2021.
Organising Committee informed that ticket rate for Semi Final and Final will be sold at Rs. 50 per ticket and will be made available in different outlets at Ukhrul Headquarters.
