The former chairman of the proscribed United National Liberation Front (UNLF) RK Sanayaima has condoled the demise of Sagolsem Hemant, the former president of the All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union, (AMWJU).
In a statement, RK Sanayaima said “I am shocked to hear the demise of Sagolsem Hemant” and informed, “I met Hemant during the last week of April 2006 when he came along with a team of journalists at Khengjoi Chingsang”.

Sanayaima said that he always wanted to talk about issues with the late journalist but fate willed otherwise. “I wished to talk to him but couldn’t as it was not written in my fate. The first meeting was also the last meeting with Hemant”, RK Sanayaima lamented. He prayed for his soul to rest in peace and also shared the pain and sorrow of the bereaved family members.
