Nomination papers to be filed between 11 am and 3pm on any day, other than public holiday, and not later than March 21.

Following the announcement of the Election Commission to conduct the biennial election to the Upper House of Parliament from the six states on March 31, the election by the members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) to fill one seat in the council of States on the retirement of K G Kenye on April 2 would take place at the Conference Hall, Annex Room of the Assembly Secretariat, Kohima.
The poll would take place between 9 am and 4pm. According to a notification issued by Additional Secretary and Returning Officer, Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Khruohituonuo Rio, nomination papers should be delivered by a candidate or his proposer to the Returning Officer or the Assistant Returning Officer between 11 am and 3pm on any day, other than public holiday, and not later than March 21.
It stated that the nomination papers would be taken up for scrutiny at noon on March 22, while notice of withdrawal of candidature should be furnished to the office of the returning officer on March 24 before 3 pm.
