Go North East Mission (GoNEM) in collaboration with Tangkhul Theological Association (TTA) on Monday launched and dedicated the project “Old Age Prayer House”, at Wunghon Baptist Church, Ukhrul.
TTA Director Rev. Banner Makan said the dedication prayer and launched the mission in the presence of founder director of GoNEM, Ramthing Kasar. The programme was attended by leaders of GoNEM, TTA, UBCI and neighbouring villages.
Rev. Khayaipam Khamrang said a special prayer for the elders present in the congregation followed by sharing from Rev. Luiham Hungyo, Board Chairman of GoNEM.
GoNEM founder director Ramthing Kasar said that a project entitled “Old Age Prayer House” was launched and dedicated on Monday at Wunghon Baptist Church. The sole purpose of this mission is to entertain and pray for the elders in the village. The team will visit various villages and interact with the elders of the villages to make the village a power house village, he added.
Mission coordinator Pakmi Mahong said that the Chairman of Union Baptist Churches Imphal (UBCI) and along with various pastors from Tangkhul Baptist Churches at Imphal and pastors from neighbouring villages attended the dedication and launching programme. He further said that the mission will be carried forward to various Tangkhul churches in the coming days.
