With certainty the “dawn of new journey” for a permanent Naga political solution is being awaited by the Nagas”, says  Convenor of the working committee, Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) N Kitovi Zhimomi. He was speaking during the GPRN/NSCN-Unification’s National Assembly session held on Tuesday (May 28) at Model Village, 5th Mile, Chumoukedima.

N Kitovi Zhimomi also rubbished allegations of floating a new NSCN group and clarified that he was not impeached as claimed by some “vested interests” who were trying to cover-up their corrupt practices. He pointed out that “dictatorialism” was still prevailing under someone who had controlled the business in the commercial hub of the state, Dimapur, through different means. He also assured that the erstwhile Khehoi designated camp of the GPRN/NSCN (Unification) will be occupied soon.

The GPRN/NSCN leader warned that the government of India should desist from playing the tactics of creating divisions within Naga groups and it  should not be “hypnotized” by the ploy of others. On illegal taxation, Kitovi said one of his main objectives is to thwart rampant illegal collections in the heart of the commercial hub of Nagaland, Dimapur.  On the occasion, N Kitovi Zhimomi was unanimously elected as “Ato Kilonser” of the GPRN/NSCN (Unification).

N Kitovi Zhimomi recalled his earlier days of joining the Naga “National Movement” in the late 1980s and his contributions towards the movement. In the 38 years, he said he had witnessed many “factional clashes” within the Nagas. Kitovi added now that many regional groups have “reaffirmed support” and these include GPRN/NSCN Konyak Region, Union Territory, Sumi Region, Chang Region, Khiamniungan Region, Kuki Affairs, Lotha Region, Angami Region, Yimkhiung Region, Ao Region, and Phom Region.
